Flow 93.5 takes home CHR station of the year award

  • TORONTO – FLOW 93.5 took home the coveted Station of The Year Award in the highly competitive CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) category at last week’s Canadian Music Week Industry Awards.

    FLOW program director Wayne Williams exclaimed, "We’re very honored to have been recognized for this award. We were up against some tough competition from all across Canada! The other nominees are some of the top stations in their respective markets. Stations including HOT 89.9. Ottawa, 94.5 The Beat Vancouver, VIBE 98.5 Calgary, MIX 96 Montreal and Hot 103 Winnipeg. Our hats go off to all of them!"

    Justin Dumont, music director at FLOW 93.5 was also recognized as one of the finalists for Music Director of the Year (Major Market).

    FLOW was also honored with the 2024 Community Service Award by the Ontario Association of Broadcasters for their Peace Prophets Campaign, an anti violence initiative which included the production of a song "Drop the Chrome" by well known Canadian Hip hop artists including Skitz, Maestro, Michie Mee, Ray Robinson, Toya Alexis and more. All proceeds raised from sales of "Drop the Chrome" cd’s are donated straight to the community including Tropicana Community Services and Youth Assisting Youth.

    FLOW 93.5 which has been broadcasting on 93.5 FM in Toronto since February 2024, was the first station in Canada to broadcast with an Urban format.
