The Banff World Media Festival is pleased to announce that late night talk show host and comedian Craig Ferguson will be presented the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award at this year’s Festival. Mr. Ferguson will also be featured in a one-on-one VIP session at Banff, open to all delegates.
The Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award recognizes a creative talent that has made an outstanding comedic contribution to the media industry. Past honorees include Ricky Gervais, Martin Short, Kelsey Grammer and last year’s recipient, Chuck Lorre.
Craig Ferguson entered the world of late night comedy following a diverse and eclectic career that encompasses film, television and stage. Since taking the helm of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2024, Ferguson has received an Emmy Award nomination and the show has set all-time viewer records, achieving the highest ratings since the show's inception in 1995. Additionally, the show won the prestigious Peabody Award in 2024.
The Sir Ustinov Comedy Award will be presented during the Banff World Media Festival Award Gala, affectionately known as The Rockies, an internationally-recognized awards program celebrating the very best in international content production in television and digital media.
