CTV Atlantic brings together all three Maritime Premiers for a rare television event. On Thursday, March 22, on CTV NEWS At Six, Steve Murphy sits down with David Alward, Premier of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island Premier Robert Ghiz, and Darrell Dexter, Premier of Nova Scotia to discuss the issues affecting Maritimers regionally and nationally, including inter-provincial cooperation today and in the future.

The roundtable will be shot at the Atlantic Lottery Headquarters in Moncton, New Brunswick. It’s the first time in recent memory all three Premiers will appear in a joint roundtable interview.

“The Maritime premiers meet together regularly in private sessions, but this is a rare public opportunity to see them interact and discuss issues of common concern,” said Murphy. “We are three provinces, with three premiers from three different political parties all dealing with many of the same issues. This is a unique opportunity to discuss how our political leaders can work together on solutions.”

Steve Murphy, who is receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Radio Television Digital News Association this year, has interviewed the Maritime Premiers many times, but never together under one roof.

With three stations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, CTV Atlantic is the region’s flagship station. CTV Atlantic’s signature programs CTV News,  Live at Five, CTV Morning Live, and CTV News AT 11:30 attract committed viewers across the region.
